My dearest son, as you celebrate another year of your life, I cannot help but remember the day when you were born. Your birth was undoubtedly one of the happiest moments of my life. The time you stole my ice cream
Remember that time when we went out for ice cream, and you saw me struggling to manage my cone while holding your stroller? You decided to take matters into your own hands and grab my ice cream. It took me a few seconds to realise what had happened and then you fled, leaving me to manage my stroller with a single hand and a half-eaten ice cream cone. I have never seen anybody so happy as you were on that day.

As a child, you loved to choose your own clothes, and my oh my, you had a style all of your own. No combination of colours or patterns was off-limits, and you had no fear of wearing your favourite shirt with the spaghetti stains on it. I remember the time when you went to your first day of kindergarten wearing a superhero cape and matching boots. You stood out like a sore thumb, but you were completely unfazed. It was, without a doubt, one of my favourite memories of your childhood.
Your epic dancing skills
From a young age, you showed an incredible talent for dancing. You would move your little body to the beat of the music with such energy and enthusiasm. Your favourite move was the robot, and you would bust it out at every opportunity. I remember the time when you insisted on showing off your dance skills at a family gathering. You strutted onto the dance floor, pulled out the robot move, and then tripped over your own feet. You fell down, but you got up quickly with an "I meant to do that" attitude and kept on dancing. It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
