As graduation approached, our hearts beat that much quicker with anticipation and excitement. Our teachers had been assuring us that they had a special surprise in store for us, but we couldn't imagine what it could be. That was, until the day of our graduation ceremony arrived.
As we walked into the auditorium where the ceremony was to be held, we immediately saw a table set up with colorful gift bags and boxes arranged neatly on top. Our teachers gathered us together and announced that each of us was going to receive a special graduation gift to remember our time in middle school. Our hearts swelled with gratitude and appreciation, and as we reached for our individual bags and boxes, we couldn't wait to open them and see what was inside.
The gifts we received were all unique and thoughtful. Some of us received photo albums with candid shots of our classmates and teachers, while others received journals with every teacher's notes and memories in it. Still, others received small statuettes of our school mascot, customized mugs with our class photo, or cleverly crafted “high school survival kits” with all the essentials for our upcoming years of high school.
For each of us, our graduation gifts were more than just tangible items. They were treasures that would preserve the memories of our middle school years. As we looked back on those days, we would remember the fun times we had with our friends, the challenges we had to face as students, and the guidance of our teachers who always had our backs.
