Recently, I have noticed a growing sense of exhaustion in my life. It seems like no matter how much rest I get or how little I push myself, I am constantly feeling drained and weary. At first, I chalked it up to stress from work or lack of sleep, but as time went on, I began to realize that there may be other underlying causes.
One reason I think I am feeling so exhausted lately is due to the pressure I put on myself to always be productive. As an editor, I am constantly trying to meet deadlines and exceed my own expectations. When I am not working, I feel guilty for not doing more. This pressure has led to burnout and has left me feeling exhausted both physically and mentally.
Another reason for my exhaustion is my tendency to compare myself to others on social media. It's so easy to fall into the trap of thinking that everyone else is doing better, happier, and more successful than I am. The constant comparison has left me feeling inadequate and disheartened, making it harder to find the energy to be productive and creative.
Lastly, I have come to the realization that I have been neglecting self-care in my life lately. Between work and other responsibilities, I have put my own needs on the back burner. I haven't been eating healthy, exercising, or taking time to relax and rejuvenate. This lack of self-care has led to physical exhaustion, making it even harder to find the motivation to take care of myself.
Overall, feeling exhausted lately has been a difficult and challenging experience. However, I am learning to be kinder to myself and take steps to alleviate the pressure and comparison. I am making an effort to prioritize self-care, to be mindful of my work habits, and to practice self-compassion. By acknowledging these underlying causes of my exhaustion, I am hopeful that I can find more balance and energy in my life.
