英语口语实用表达
国歌
National songs，可以指能激起爱国情怀的歌曲，比如我们常说的红歌《歌唱祖国》《东方红》这样的，但并不是指国歌。
国歌的正规翻译是：National anthemanthem? /n.θ?m/?国歌；赞歌；颂歌
例句：
A song that has special importance for a particular group of people, an organization, or a country, often sung on a special occasion
对特定群体、组织或国家有特殊重要性的歌曲，常在特殊场合演唱
国歌具有法律地位，正式场合演奏时还有礼仪上的要求。
国旗
国旗的英文很简单就是The national flag或者The flag of China。
但五星红旗的英文很容易错：可不是：five-star red flag（?）five-star=五星级的a five-star hotel=五星级宾馆
正确的说法是这样的哦：the Five-starred?Red?Flag（?）用五个星星装饰的红旗（starred：用星装饰的?）
例句：
The national flag?of the People's Republic of?China?is called the Five-Starred Red Flag.
中国的国旗是五星红旗。
祖国
英语形容“祖国”，最常用的有这两个词：
Motherland:?祖国，有更浓烈的感情色彩
Homeland: 祖国, 国土，比较中性。也会用于专有名词，比如美国国土安全部叫The Department of Homeland Security。还有美剧Homeland.
祖国一般不用“country”：Mother country
Home country
例句：
Motherland Never forget our duty to our motherland.
牢记我们对祖国应尽的义务。
“我是中国人”怎么说
（?）I'm Chinese.（?）I'm a Chinese.
是有文本证明的，从2018年开始，只有I'm Chinese才是正解，I'm a Chinese不仅过时,还是错的。
其实也很容易理解，Chinese做形容词时“具有中国国籍的”。
例句：
I'm Chinese.我是具有中国国籍的。
(我是中国人~)
Chinese做名词时“中国人”(集体名词,没有单复数)，所以不能直接说I'm a Chinese.
如果用a,记住这个公式：I'm a Chinese+名词
例如：
I'm a Chinese football player.
我是中国的足球选手。
但如果你和别人介绍说，I'm a Chinese person就有点怪，大家只是不知道你的国籍，谁还看不出来你是个人？总之,记住，我是中国人=I'm Chinese.
“中国汉字”怎么说？
我们都知道，英语单词是English words，那"中国汉字"不会是Chinese words吧？！当然不是"中国汉字"有个独特的名字。
Chinese characters
character:字符，Chinese character:中国的字符(汉字是象形文字,由一个个特殊字符组成)
例句:
Chinese characters contain an abundant amount of Chinese culture and wisdom of the ancients.
中国汉字蕴含了丰富的中国文化和古人的智慧。
“中国梦”到底怎么翻译？
首先，肯定不是China's dream，因为“中国梦”的提法并不是想强调一种“所属关系”，而是强调每一个中国人内心中的梦想，这事实上是一种“内在属性”，所以用Chinese dream较为合适。?
有同学会提出，在某些地方看到China dream，这种形式又是一个什么含义呢？
China是一个名词，我们经常看到以China打头的名词词组，比如：China Unicom（中国联通）、China Daily（中国日报）、China Mobile（中国移动）等。
你会发现：上述这些例子本质上都是品牌、属于专有名词，无法拆分，只能整体理解。
据说美国有一艘豪华游轮的名字就叫“China Dream”，这个没问题，因为它属于一个品牌，是专有名词。
而咱们的“中国梦”， 并非一个商业性的品牌，而是指千千万万中国老百姓追求幸福的梦想，所以翻译为Chinese dream更为合适。
在今年的政府工作报告的官方译文中，中国梦也是翻译成“Chinese Dream”的：
